Mr. Hasan has joined as a partner in October 2016 and since has been an integral part of the Chamber. He was previously a Senior Associate at Dr Kamal Hossain and Associates from October 2013-November 2016, and been an Associate at Dr Kamal Hossain and Associates from January 2004 till October 2013. He was also a part time faculty member at the East-West University from January 2011 till August 2013. He also worked with Eversheds LLP, United Kingdom (Shipping team in New Castle, UK).

 

Mr. Hasan has been Bangladesh counsel for the Malaysian buyer in respect of acquisition of a major power supplier. He also advised one of the largest Japanese construction companies in its proposed investment in Bangladesh in Economic Zone. He acted as local counsel in the transaction involving worldwide acquisition of two multinational banks. He advised an US entity which sells signaling, messaging, policy, and other solutions to telecom operator networks.  These solutions include hardware, software, and services (such as installation services, maintenance and support services). He Advised a developer of gaming software in relation to issuance of virtual currency in PlayStation and Xbox 360 platforms.

He Provided advice for multinational companies on various labour law issues. Mr Hasan acted as counsel for proposed acquisition/merger of largest tobacco company in Bangladesh by an international tobacco company. He Acted as counsel in advising a multinational bank in its proposed operation in Bangladesh. Mr Hasan also acted as counsel for JW Marriott in connection with its investment in Bangladesh. Hasan advised a multinational provider of telecommunications services in relation to potential acquisition of a major mobile telephone operator in Bangladesh. He advised a global internet giant in relation to its project in Bangladesh. Mr Hasan Work closely with Baker & McKenzie, Norton Rose, Clifford Chance, and other law firms on different fiscal, regulatory, investment issues.

He Advised and acted as Counsel for international law firms such as Rajah and Tan, Clyde and Co, Stephenson Harwood in admiralty matters, both dry and wet. Mr Hasan Advised Samsung, GE in its Tax Structuring in Bangladesh. Mr Hasan Advised Mastercard in relation to proposed business activity in Bangladesh. Mr Hasan also Advise and act as counsel for largest Bangladesh group of companies such as Abul Khair Group, Meghna Group of Industries, TK Group etc on a regular basis on different issues relating to fiscal, banking matters and associated regulatory matters. Hasan Advise British American Tobacco Bangladesh and act as Counsel on different anti-trust, investment, fiscal, banking and labour law matters. Mr Hasan Advise and act closely with KPMG Bangladesh on different tax and fiscal matters for its multinational clients operating in Bangladesh.
